Booking a trip (flights or hotels, etc on-line)

I do a lot of planning and booking for vacations etc. I have learned that for example booking a flight is best on a Monday or Tuesday (not sure why) but you get the best prices. So try all the regular websites like expedia, travelocity, kayak, cheapflights, etc to find your best deal on that day. It is amazing how much money you can save. Also make sure not to book last minute as that has almost disappeared, the better the cheaper is the motto.
