Christmas Tree decorations from nature

I, personally, like a naturally decorated Christmas tree the best. We are looking for decorations outside in the woods, for example we find pine cones, red berries, small apples, nuts, etc.

All these will be attached to a red ribbon and then put on the tree. This way the kids can help and gives them a great idea too. Let the kids be creative as they can put anything on the tree they like even if it is dried colourful leaves from fall and this way it does not cost a thing and it might look very creative.
