Christmas - opening presents on Christmas morning

In many families all people unwrap their presents at the same time, and everybody does their own thing and you totally miss how the kids like their presents, etc.

In our family we celebrate Christmas a bit different. All presents are very well labelled with the name and are put under the Christmas tree. Then we all sit down together with some snacks and nice Christmas music. The oldest or the youngest person, whatever you prefer, chooses a present from under the tree, reads it out loud who the present belongs to and gives it to that person.

This person unwraps the present and everybody is watching, then this person chooses the next present, gives it to that person and so on. You continue this process until all presents are opened. If you have little kids, it is better to have them start first, as they are more impatient. But this way, it is really nice to see what people are getting and it is in a nice setting and you avoid not to be in a hurry and unwrap presents all
at the same time.
