Fashion tips - how to look slimmer

I have a friend who carries some extra pounds, but she only wears black as that is the slimmest you could look. However, it is also very boring and does not look uplifting at all, it is quite boring to only wear one colour all the time.

There are other things you can do to look slimmer, and here are a few suggestions:

Wear heels as they create a good posture and the shape of your legs change. Wear a knee length skirt or dress with it, the higher the heal you can endure, the better.

Make your neck appear longer, so don't ever wear turtle necks, instead opt for V-necks or cowl necks because they elongate.

Try to wear shapewear as it hold everything in and gives you a streamlined shape. Tops, bottoms and dresses look better by creating a smoother, more flattering figure wearing shapewear.

Nowadays you see a lot of the stretchy light materials which you should avoid. Wear heavier fabrics such as thick cotton or tweed which will hang well and create a tailored, polished overall look. The lighter materials cling to your body and show all the problem areas you would like to hide.

Wear higher-rise and straight-cut pants as this will prevent your hips from appearing wide. Avoid low waistlines. Also higher rise jeans keep everything in as for example skinny jeans, etc.

If your problem area is your midsection, then don't wear oversize d tops to hide it. They give the illusion that you are bigger than you are. Belted blouses, empire waists, form-fitting dresses are better choices.

If you try this out you really feel good when you look good, regardless of our shapes and sizes.
