How you can save cakes that fell apart

A few days ago I made a pound cake and forgot to grease the baking pan. As it was one of my old baking pans, it did not have a protective layer.

I couldn't get the cake out of the pan, only separate pieces of cake came apart and out Well, what now, I did not want to throw out the cake as it still tasted really yummy.

Then I had an idea. I mixed it up with a glass of cherries and some lemon zest, then I put it in a greased baking pan, poured some cheery juice including milk and one egg over the cake and put it in the oven for about 20 minutes to bake.

Then I served it with vanilla sauce over it and it was delicious.
