Keeping your receipts

You probably know this too, you buy stuff like clothes, books, shoes, pots, dishes, etc. you keep the receipt for a little while and then it ends up in the garbage.
I have learned that nowadays it is a really good idea to keep all receipts, organized, if you can. For example, I bought a frying pan once which stated that it had a lifetime guarantee, so I already got 3 new replacements, as the layer came off and I always took it back to the store with the receipt which I kept.

Now, I always keep all receipts. I use 12 envelopes and put each month of the year on the envelopes, and put all the receipts in it in which month I have bought stuff. This way it is easy to find my receipts and if anything ever screws up, I can go back to store with the receipt and will get a full exchange. It worked great for me.
