Real persian rice - cooked properly
Here is a tip how to properly cook basmati rice:Take 3 cups of basmati rice and put it in a bowl of water and let it soak for a while. Get a pot and fill with 8 cups of water and bring to a boil. Put the soaked rice through a sifter, rinse under water and then pour into the boiling water and add 2 teaspoons of salt. Then put the heat to low.
Let the rice simmer for about 6 minutes and then pour it through the sifter again.
Now put 3 tablespoons of butter into a pot and let it melt. Put the rice back into the pot with the melted butter and let it "roast" for about 30 minutes on medium heat.
Cover the pot with a kitchen cloth and then put the lid on.
You will have a nice crust when the rice is done, take a plate, and put the rice on it (upside down).
It really tastes great.
