Recipe: Delicious nutcake, which will keep for a week
Ingredients for the nutcake:10 eggs
1 package vanilla sugar
1 ½ cups hazelnuts
1 ½ cups sugar
1. separate the eggs
2. mix the egg yolks with vanilla sugar and sugar in the machine, mix for about 10 minutes
3. add hazelnuts to the egg yolk dough
4. beat the egg whites
5. add the egg whites to the hazelnut dough
Bake the cake at 350 F for approx. 1 hour. Baking time varies due to different ovens, sometimes the cake is done in 45 minutes in my oven. Just check with a toothpick if the cake is done, it is done when the toothpick comes out clean and no dough is on it.
As a glaze you can use some icing sugar and add some lemon juice. You can also decorate with a chocolate syrup.
The cake keeps for at least a week if you put it in a closed plastic container and it tastes fantastic, and it goes either with coffee or tea or a glass of wine as well.
