Running shoes - put in washing machine

I have washed running shoes in the washing machine quite a few times, and they come out really nice and clean.
However, if you don't want to listen to the noise it makes while washing in the machine, you can put the running shoes in the inside of a pair of jeans, this way the washing cycle will not be as noisy and they come out clean as well. After they are washed I let the running shoes dry over night. They look like new again
