Smooth table cloths

When I take out a table cloth from the closet and put it on a table it has creases even when I’ve ironed it. But now I have a trick how I get smooth table cloths without an electric iron:

I put the table cloth on a wettish table and sleek it. The wet areas dry and the creases disappear.
